On 7/23/15, Taraval Station had one of it’s many ride along with citizens and special interest groups. Mr. Maroney is an amateur “ham” radio operator, enjoys volunteering in communications work in San Francisco and other cities and was very interested in how the Police communicated with each other and with dispatch. Officer Hom was able to explain the daily ins and outs of police work and was also able to take Mr. Maroney along to several interesting and not so interesting calls for service. Taraval Station would like to thank Mr. Maroney for his interested and in taking time to experience the daily routine of a San Francisco Police Officer.
