Burglary – Assault of a Police Officer – Arrested

300 Pacheco St
Officers who were specifically assigned to investigate burglaries in the Taraval District observed suspicious activity from a vehicle of three suspects; two suspects exited the vehicle and walk towards a bushy area in front of a house before disappearing.  The third suspect then reposition the vehicle directly in front of the area where the first two suspects disappeared. The officers attempted to detain the vehicle but the third suspect immediately backed into a vehicle and hit the police vehicle in an attempt to escape. The suspect then narrowly missed hitting an officer while driving directly on the sidewalk in a continued effort to get away. Due to the erratic nature of the suspect’s driving, officers did not engage in pursuit. However, the first two suspects were located and arrested after further investigation. 

 

Traffic Violation – Suspended Driver’s License – Cited

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle making a u-turn on 19th Ave before running through a red light. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had been suspended. The driver was cited.

Resisting Police Duties – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a possible suicidal attempt; the witness reported that the subject was depressed and was worried that he might hurt himself. Responding officers located the suspect’s vehicle and detained him. A search located a screwdriver inside one of the subject’s jacket pocket. The subject was requested to remove his jacket but the subject refused and instead attempted to reach into his pocket. The subject then also refused to remove his hand from the pocket. Despite the subject’s resistance, he was successfully detained. After further investigation, the subject was deemed not suicidal but was cited for resisting officers.

Officers responded to a report of a domestic incident. Responding officers spoke to the suspect and the three victims. Two of the victims stated that the suspect, their father, had pushed and hit them despite a restraining order prohibiting him from showing up at their home. After further investigation and confirming the restraining order, the suspect was arrested.
