For several years, the SFPD and the Make a Wish Foundation has partnered together for the SFPD Challenge. Our goal is to raise money to grant wishes for children with life-threatening diseases. On December 7, 2013, officers from other police agencies, officers from other district police stations, Taraval Officers, and citizens braved the cold and the wind to help raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation.
Batkid, also known as Miles Scott was there and led the runners and walkers around Aquatic Park.
Events included, 5K Walk and Fun Run, Plunge in the Bay, Cable Car Pull, & Cops and Coffee.
Over $137,000.00 was raised for the Make a Wish Foundation.
