Vehicle Violation – Suspended Driver’s License – Cited

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle with an expired registration sticker. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had been suspended. The driver was cited.

Sloat Blvd & 19th Ave
An officer observed a suspect crossing 19th Ave in the middle of the street, despite the heavy traffic, and made contact. While speaking to the suspect, the officer noted that there was an open glass bottle of alcohol inside the suspect’s jacket. The officer then asked the suspect to sit down, but the suspect refused and started walking away. Additional officers arrived on scene and detained the suspect. A search of the suspect located a folded pocket knife, a half empty bottle of whiskey and a glass pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine. After further investigation, the suspect was later arrested.
