Burglaries – Possession of Burglary Tools – Arrested

Ortega St & 23rd Ave
Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity near several parked cars; the suspect was looking specifically into the windows of multiple vehicles. Responding officers arrived at the location and observed two vehicles with broken windows. The officers located the suspect, who was bleeding on his hand, and observed him attempting to strike at another car’s window. The suspect was detained and a search revealed stolen property and marijuana in his possession. After further investigation, other vehicles were discovered with broken windows. Several of the vehicles also had blood droplets inside and a blood smear. The suspect was later arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a fire. The witness reported that a student had set fire to tissue papers in a bathroom’s garbage can. The witness stated that there was no one else was in the bathroom at the time the student entered and the time the fire alarm sounded. The student denied the claim but after further investigation, the student was admonished. 

 

Vehicle Violation – No Driver’s License – Cited

20th Ave & Taraval St
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle that was traveling on the MUNI and taxi only lane. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that he did not have a driver’s license. The driver was cited.

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle making a turn where despite a sign prohibiting such a turn. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver reveled that she did not have a driver’s license. The driver was cited.

Vehicle Tampering – Vandalism to Vehicle- Arrested

Taraval Investigation Unit investigated an incident that had occurred a week ago and made contact with the suspect. The suspect responded to the station with his lawyer to turn himself in. The suspect was arrested.

Trespassing – Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia

500 Buckingham Way
Officers responded to a report of a trespasser inside a medical building. The witness reported that the suspect had a history of trespassing and had been advised to stay out of the building many times already. The witness stated that the suspect was currently in the Women’s bathroom but was in the Men’s bathroom smoking drugs and drinking earlier. The suspect was detained and searched. After further investigation, the suspect was cited.
