Trespassing – Under the Influence in a Public Place – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a drunk trespasser. Responding officers located the suspect, who was leaning his head on a counter and looked asleep. After investigating, the suspect was determined to be intoxicated and a computer check revealed that the suspect had numerous warrants out of San Luis Obispo. The subject was cited for trespassing and placed in the sobering cell.

A SIT Sergeant investigated a battery incident that had occurred previously and obtained a warrant for the suspect’s arrest. Shortly afterwards, however, the DA office informed the Sergeant that the victim refused to cooperate and therefore, the investigation would be closed.
