Child Neglect – Child Abandonment

2800 Great Hwy
Officers responded to meet with a SFFD medic unit who reported that they had just observed a victim being pushed out of a speeding vehicle. The medic stated that they heard the screeching of tires from a vehicle that was driving at a high rate of speed and a victim being pushed out of the vehicle. The victim stated that she had been living with her parent in another state and had just moved to California two weeks ago. The victim reported that her parents were arguing and her father left the area. The suspect, her mother, then started yelling at the victim and said that she did not want to be the victim’s mother anymore before pushing her out the moving vehicle. Special Victims Unit investigated the incident and made contact and convinced the suspect to turn herself in to the police.

Stay Away Order Violation – Arrested

Officers responded to a known suspect with a history of citations and arrests. Responding officers located the suspect and confirmed that he was in violation of his stay away order. The suspect was arrested.

Battery
12:15 am
Lincoln Way & 17th Ave
Officers responded to a report of an incident of battery. The victim reported that she opted to share a ride on Uber. When the vehicle arrived, the suspect was already in the vehicle. During the ride, the suspect moved his hand to touch the victim’s knee before apologizing. The victim requested that the suspect refrain from touching her again but the suspect placed his hand on the victim’s leg several seconds later. The victim screamed and exited the vehicle, which had reached their destination. The suspect also exited and walked into a store. Responding officers arrived and after further investigation, the suspect was cited. 

 

No Driver’s License – Vehicle Violation – Cited

Officers observed a vehicle being operated with a broken head light. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. The driver was cited.

Battery
6:15 pm
1700 39th Ave
Officers responded to a report of an incident of battery. The victim told the officers that he was driving in her vehicle when he heard a noise and then felt something painful. Reaching to where the painful area was, the victim discovered a BB pellet.  The victim told the officers that he did not know where the pellet came from. Officers searched the area but were unsuccessful in locating a suspect.
