Battery – Suspended Driver’s License – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a physical fight. The victim reported that the suspect, his brother, had punched him after the victim requested that the suspect remove his vehicle from the driveway. A nearby witness also confirmed the incident. The suspect then drove away. Responding officers searched and located the suspect, who was several blocks away. After conducting a traffic stop and detaining the suspect, a computer check revealed that the suspect had a suspended driver’s license. After further investigation, the suspect was cited for the battery and suspended driver’s license. A few hours later the victim called the police and advised that the suspect had returned home and hit him again before fleeing the scene.

Officers responded to a report of a loud explosion. The witness reported that he had heard an explosion and observed smoke blowing out from inside a blue mailbox before a nearby vehicle sped away. Responding officers investigated the situation and determined that an explosive device, such as fireworks, had been placed into the mailbox by the suspect. The subsequent explosion also caused damages to the mailbox and it’s contents.

Officers responded to a report of a couple in a fight. Responding officers arrived to hear loud screaming from inside an apartment. Finding the door unlocked, the officers made entry and located the parties involved in the argument. The victim reported that the suspect had come home drunk and fell asleep. While the suspect was asleep, the victim looked through the suspect’s phone and became upset at what she found on the phone. The victim woke the suspect up and an argument ensued. The victim stated that the suspect then punched her several times after grabbing her. The suspect was detained and handcuffed without incident but attempted to unsuccessfully flee during a later part of the investigation. The suspect was arrested.
