Driving While Under the Influence – No Driver’s License Issued

100 Huntington Dr
Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle which stopped in the middle of the road for a few seconds before accelerating and narrowly missing collision with several parked vehicles. The officers activated their lights and siren before conducting a traffic stop. While the car immediately stopped and pulled over, the driver placed the car into reverse as the officers walked towards him and damaged the front of the patrol car which was parked directly behind him. The officers made contact with the driver and administered a field sobriety test. The driver also showed obvious signs of intoxication and admitted to have been drinking earlier. A computer check on the driver revealed that the driver had never been issued a license. A search of the driver’s vehicle also revealed marijuana. The driver was later arrested.
Shoplifting – Warrant Arrest

Officers responded to a report of a detained shoplifter. Loss prevention reported that the suspect was observed walking into the store and selecting multiple watches and clothing before concealing it in his pockets and backpack. The suspect then walked directly out of the store but was successfully detained. A computer check revealed that suspect had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.
Mental Health Detention

Officers responded to a report of a subject punching random bystanders and pedestrians. Responding officers arrived and made contact with the subject, who was observed to being very agitated. The subject alternately waved his hands in the air while shouting incoherently. After determining the subject was a danger to himself and others, he was transported to SFGH for a medical evaluation.
