Embezzlement – Theft by an employee – Possession of Marijuana – Arrested

3200 20th Ave
Officers responded to a report of embezzlement. The witness stated that the suspect, a sales associate employee, was under investigation due to suspicious activity regarding their transactions from May through August of this year. The witness reported that the suspect would refund a customer’s purchases directly into her own debit card or as cash. The refunded transactions equalled to approximately $11,000.00. The suspect admitted to the crime and responded that her family was having financial problems. A search of the suspect revealed marijuana in her possession. The suspect was arrested.

Battery

1500 Sloat Blvd
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim stated that the suspect had attempted to purchase an item with her Women, Infants and Children (WIC) food supplement check but the transaction was declined as the brand chosen was not a participant of the program. The suspect exited the store but returned shortly afterwards to speak with Customer Service. Before exiting the store a second time, the suspect spat on the victim.  

Vehicle Violation – Suspended Driver’s License – Cited

Skyline Blvd & Lake Merced Blvd
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle, with an expired registration, traveling at a high rate of speed. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed his license had been suspended. The driver was cited.

Robbery with a Gun

Sunset Blvd & Taraval St
Officers responded to a report of a robbery with a gun. The victim stated that she was waiting for the bus when two suspects approached her and attempted to speak with her but she did not understand them. One suspect pointed a gun at her while the second suspect snatched the victim’s purse away from her. The suspect then checked the victim to see if there were any other valuables before both suspects fled the area.
