Officers responded to a report of a detained shoplifter. The witness, a store employee, observed the suspect conceal multiple items of store merchandise in her bag but did not want to press charges. However, a computer check revealed that the suspect had a warrant for her arrest. The suspect was arrested.
Assault

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that she arrived at a salon to get her nails done and engaged in casual conversation with the suspect, who had arrived earlier. The suspect started to use profanity while speaking to the victim and was asked to stop. The suspect responded angrily and yelled at the victim instead. The victim attempted to calm the suspect down but the suspect punched the victim several times before immediately exiting the salon.
