Trespassing – Cited

1200 Irving St
Officers responded to a report of a trespasser at Andronico’s parking lot. Responding officers made contact with the suspect, who was found asleep on a pile of clothes and surrounded by empty bottles of wine and food containers. The suspect was recognized to have been previously admonished and cited numerous times for trespassing at Andronico’s. The suspect had also been previously reported to have frequently created a mess at the adjacent parking lot that belonged to an apartment complex. The suspect was cited.

Robbery of a residence

2100 17th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim stated that she had taken a short walk, less than 10 minutes, before returning home. When she reached the gate of her house, an unknown and masked suspect with a gun, pulled the victim into the house and sat her down on a couch. A second suspect then rummaged through the house while looking for valuables to steal. After several minutes, the suspects exited the house with the victim’s property and entered a waiting vehicle which then fled the location. 

Indecent Exposure

Officers responded to a report of a suspect who appeared to be exposing himself while near a school. Responding officers located and detained a subject that matched the given description. However, the victims were unable to positively identify the suspect. The subject was released.  

Traffic Violation – No Driver’s License Issued – Cited

Taraval St & 30th Ave
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle that had failed to stop at a posted stop sign. A traffic stop was conducted and a computer check on the driver revealed that he was never issued a driver’s license. The driver was cited.

Winston Dr & 20th Ave
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle in front of them making a left turn without stopping or yielding,  almost colliding into the officers’ vehicle. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check revealed that the driver did not have a driver’s license. The driver was cited.

Warrant Arrest – Arrested

Taraval Station was contacted by the Lawrence police department concerning a wanted person who was living in the area. The sergeant responded to the address given. The sergeants rang the door bell and the suspect answered the door. The suspect was placed under arrest without incident.

Assault
10:36 pm
48th Ave & Kirkham St
Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim stated that he saw two males yelling at a female and went to intervene. However, this caused both males and the female to yell at him and punch him. The victim then refused to cooperate and provide further information. A witness confirmed that one suspect had kicked the victim and was heard to say “that’s what you get for assaulting my daughter” before fleeing the location.  

Loitering and Peeking into Inhabited Structure

1400 La Playa St
Officers responded to a report of a suspect peeking into her bed room. The victim stated that she was woken up by a sudden noise by her window. When she looked at the window, she discovered that the suspect was looking straight at her before fleeing. Responding officers searched and located the suspect. When questioned about the incident, the suspect stated that he was at the beach when a person who looked like “Stick” from the Daredevil Netflix series told him to climb a fire escape to pass a test. After further investigation, the suspect was taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
