Officers responded to a report of a fire, which was successfully extinguished by the SFFD. The officers made contact with the suspect, who stated that he stepped into the shower after seeing the commotion over the fire but believed that he saw someone hopping over the fence previously. The victim reported she was dating the suspect and that the items that were burnt belonged to her. It was observed that the fire also damaged the wall of a nearby building. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
