The victim stated that he and the suspect, the victim’s landlord, were engaged in a heated argument over money. During the argument, the suspect threw the victim’s items out of the house and also swung an axe at the victim. The victim backed away from the suspect and the suspect returned to the house without the victim. The victim also reported that the suspect owned multiple weapons and firearms. The responding officers made contact with the suspect but were unsuccessful in getting him to voluntarily exit the house. However, after later speaking with the SFPD Hostage Negotiation and Tactical team, the suspect exited the house and surrendered. A search warrant was obtained and the axe, various firearms and ammunition were located inside the house. The suspect was arrested.

The victim stated that he had stopped behind another car, who was stopped at a stop sign, when the driver in front of him suddenly exited the vehicle. The driver angrily approached the victim and screamed at the victim for having his high beams on. The driver then pepper sprayed the victim before getting back into his own vehicle and driving away.
