Robbery

Ulloa St & West Portal Ave
The victim came into Taraval Station to report a robbery by force. The victim stated that she was on the LRV and was looking at her phone, with her ear buds on, when a suspect suddenly came up from behind her and grabbed at her iPhone. The suspect immediately fled off the LRV after yanking the iPhone free from her grasp, despite a struggle with the victim for it’s possession. 

Assault – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of an assault. Responding officers arrived on scene and an unknown witness pointed the officers to the suspects. The victim was also observed to be in a lot of pain and bleeding from a head wound. A witness reported that the three suspects were observed surrounding the victim, while trying to punch and hit him. The witness stated that he believed that the victim may have loss consciousness at one point from the assault. After questioning, it was revealed that the victim had asked the suspects to move while they were all on a LRV earlier. The suspects refused to move and an argument ensued. During the argument, the three suspects took the victim’s property and threw it off the LRV at a stop, causing the victim to exit the LRV to retrieve his property. The suspects then got off at the next stop and walked back to look for the victim before assaulting him.  After further investigations, all three suspects were arrested.

Our TNT team recognized that a suspect, who had a warrant for his arrest, was in the area. The TNT team made contact with the suspect and arrested him without incident.

Burglary of a Vehicle – Arrested

19th Ave & Rivera St
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle burglary. A witness reported that two suspects were observed breaking into his friend’s mobile home. Responding officers located the suspects and made contact with them. One suspect replied that the mobile home belonged to him but was stolen several days ago. The suspects then said that they were inside the mobile home to retrieve their property. However, the victim stated that he had purchased and had lived in the mobile home for a while already. A computer check confirmed the owner of the mobile home and a search of the suspects located stolen items belonging to the victim.  The suspects were arrested.
