Assault Aggravated – Brandishing – Probation Violation – Arrested

1000 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of a person with a knife. The victim reported that he was on the bus, with his brother , when the suspect engaged the bus driver in an argument. The victim’s brother started laughing in response to the argument, which caused the suspect to turn and confront the victim’s brother. The suspect then pulled up his sleeves, assumed a fighting stance and asked the victim if he wanted to fight. The victim and his brother responded by walking away from the suspect and exiting the bus. The victim stated that the suspect also exited the bus and followed after them while brandishing a knife that was about four inches long. The victim and his brother continued to walk away but observed that the suspect made a stabbing motion towards the victim, which did not make contact due to the distance between them.

Responding officers located, detained and searched the suspect but were unsuccessful in locating the knife. When questioned, the suspect replied that he was never in possession of a knife. After further investigation, the suspect was later arrested.

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle that had all the reflective coating scraped off of it’s license plate. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that her license had been suspended. The driver was cited.

Robbery
11:22 am
1600 24th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim reported that she had previously secured her home before going out to shop. When the victim returned home, she was suddenly dragged into the house and thrown on to the floor by three suspects. The suspects attempted to take the victim’s purse but she struggled against them. The victim reported that one suspect lifted her up and slammed her on to the ground before punching her several times in the eye. When the victim finally released her purse, the suspects immediately stole it and fled the area.

1200 Noriega St
The victim came to Taraval Station to report a battery. The victim reported that he was in a bar when his friend was pushed to the ground by the suspect. The victim responded by confronting the suspect and was punched in his face by the suspect. Immediately after, the bar’s security broke up the fight and the victim and his friend both left the bar.  

Arson

2200 32nd Ave
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle fire, which was successfully extinguished by the SFFD. The victim stated she was alerted to the fire when she heard one of the house’s occupants trying to get outside. The victim reported that a nearby vehicle had caught on fire, which then spread to the front of the house and causing it to also burn. 

Battery

700 Font Blvd
Officers responded to a report of someone with a gun. Responding officers made contact with the victim, a driver, who had attempted to pick up a fare which was cancelled shortly after he arrived in the area. The victim decided to leave but another vehicle suddenly pulled up in front of him and blocked him from leaving. The victim responded by honking his horn and the suspect returned with putting up his middle finger towards the victim. The victim maneuvered his vehicle around the suspect’s vehicle and gave the suspect a peace sign with his fingers. The victim drove away but the suspect followed him. When the victim stopped his vehicle, the suspect exited his own vehicle and walked towards the victim before punching him. The victim responded by taking out a knife and the suspect returned to his vehicle and took out a gun, which he pointed at the victim and told him to move back towards his car. The suspect then got into his vehicle and left the area.

Theft from a Person – Battery – Arrested

Taraval St & 19th Ave
Officers were on patrol and were flagged down by the victim. The victim reported that she was using her cell phone, while on a LRV, when four juvenile suspects got on to the LRV. At the next stop, one of the juveniles snatched the victim’s phone as all four suspects exited the LRV. A witness stopped the suspects and a fight ensued, causing the suspect to drop the stolen phone. The suspects then got on to a second bus in an attempt to flee the area. The officers stopped the bus in question and detained the suspects. After further investigation, all four suspects were arrested.
