Warrant Arrest – Arrested

2500 Ocean Ave
Officers were on patrol and observed a homeless person organizing his property. Due to the rainy weather, the officers attempted to offer services to the homeless person. However, a computer check revealed that the person had a warrant for his arrest that was out of Santa Monica. The person was arrested.

Robbery
7:03 pm
1700 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of a theft. The victim stated that she was at a UPS store and had placed two laptop computer on top of the counter while she was preparing to ship them to a relative. Suddenly, a suspect walked into the store and snatched the victim’s laptop and immediately walked out of the store. The victim attempted to retain her property but was pushed away by the suspect. The suspect then got into a waiting vehicle and fled the area.  

Assault – Under the Influence in a Public Place

Officers responded to a report of a suspect in possession of a shotgun. The victim reported that she and her family were parking their vehicle when they noticed that the suspect was inside another vehicle and had a shotgun pointed at them. The victim attempted to drive away but the suspect walked up to them and struck up a strange conversation. The victim stated that the suspect was acting oddly and believed that he was under the influence of drugs. The victim said that the suspect questioned if the victim was following him. The suspect also told the victim that his life was in danger and that he did not mean to scare them. The suspect shook the victim’s hand before walking away. Responding officers made contact with the suspect, who was coming out of an apartment building. The suspect told the officers that he had smoked methamphetamine earlier and believed that someone was after him.  The suspect was arrested.

Battery

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim stated that there was an incident the previous day with the suspect’s dog getting into a fight with her dog. Today, the victim saw that the suspect was nearby and attempted to film her. The suspect noticed that the victim was filming and angrily punched the victim and grabbed at her clothes. The suspect also took away the victim’s phone and damaged it before walking away.

One incident of domestic violence was reported. The suspect was arrested.
