Shoplifting – Possession of Prohibited Weapons – Warrant Arrest – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting incident at Target. The witness, a security manager, reported that the suspect was observed acting suspicious and attempting to dodge the attention of the store employees. The suspect was then observed removing multiple items of merchandise from the store’s pharmacy area. Immediately afterwards, the suspect entered the store’s bathroom and removed the sensors from the items before walking out of the store. The witness stopped the suspect and instructed him to return the stolen items. The suspect returned a single item before walking away. Responding officers located and detained the suspect. A search of the suspect’s backpack revealed the stolen items and a lead cane. A computer check on the suspect also revealed that he had a warrant for his arrest out of San Mateo County. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of an unknown male who was hiding nearby in the bushes and looking at the children in the school yard. The witness reported that the unknown male had been at the location the past several days from 9:00am to 9:30pm. Responding officers were unsuccessful in locating the unknown male and will continue to respond daily to the area to check for further suspicious activity.
