No Driver’s License Issued – Traffic Violation

Taraval St & 36th Ave
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle being operated with a broken headlight. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that the driver’s license had expired in 2013. The driver was cited.

Battery – Vandalism – Traffic Collision

200 Granada Ave
Officers responded to a report of a involving a knife. The victim reported that he had gotten into an auto collision with the suspect but the suspect refused to get out of of the vehicle and exchange information. Failing to exchange information, the victim attempted to leave but was followed by the suspect. Shortly after, a second suspect approached the victim and confronted the victim about hitting the first suspect’s vehicle, who was a friend of the second suspect. The victim attempted to get out of his vehicle but the suspect suddenly closed the door and struck the victim on his head. The victim, feeling threatened, attempted to protect himself with a knife. The suspect responded angrily and punched a car window before both suspects fled the area. 

Arson

1900 Irving St
Officers responded to a report of arson. The witness reported that the suspect was observed climbing a palm tree before it suddenly caught on fire. Immediately afterwards, the suspect was observed climbing down and walking away. The fire was extinguished by several local merchants.  

Robbery
7:34 pm
100 Font Blvd
Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim reported that she was walking to the garbage area with her purse when she noticed three suspects running behind her. As the suspects came closer, one of the suspects attempted to pull her purse away from her. The victim refused to let go of the purse but the suspect pulled the victim to the ground causing the victim to let go of the purse. The suspect then pulled the purse away from the victim and all three suspects fled the area.
