Officers responded to a report of a drunk driver attempting to light his car, which was stalled in the middle of the street, on fire with gasoline. Responding officers located the subject, who was known from previous contacts with the police, and determined that he was refilling the car which had run out of gas. A computer check on the subject revealed that he did not have a valid driver’s license. The subject was unable to locate someone to move the vehicle and the officers attempted to arrange for the vehicle to be towed. However, the suspect responded angrily and refused to comply with orders from the officers. The subject was placed in handcuffs and was cited.
