Traffic Violation – No Driver’s License Issued – Cited

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle with an expired registration tab. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that driver’s license had been expired since 2015. The drier had also been previously cited for driving without a valid license. The driver was cited and his vehicle was towed.

TNT officers observed a black, four door, Honda Civic slowing down at an intersection but failing to make a complete stop at the posted stop sign at the intersection. The officers also recognized that it matched the description of a vehicle that had been previously used to commit numerous crimes. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that the driver’s license had been suspended and that she had a warrant for her arrest out of San Mateo. The driver had also had been cited previously, for a total number of six times, for driving with a suspended license. The vehicle’s passenger admitted to having marijuana and pills in his backpack. A computer check on the passenger revealed that he had been arrested previously for the possession of a firearm. A search of the vehicle located a loaded firearm that was hidden on the passenger’s side of the vehicle, two handkerchiefs which were tied as if they had been previously used to cover faces and illegal narcotics. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
