Warrant Arrest – Arrested

Officers were on patrol when they observed a subject sleeping on the sidewalk, next to a bus shelter. The officers approached the subject to conduct a well being check and to offer assistance, which was refused. A computer check on the subject revealed that he had a warrant, out of Menlo Park, for his arrest. The subject was arrested.
Robbery – Warrant Arrest – Arrested

West Portal Ave & Sloat Blvd
Officers responded to a report of a robbery and were advised by dispatch to the suspect’s direction of flight, the suspect’s description and that the suspect was carrying a knife. The victim reported that he had fallen asleep at the bus stop when he was woken up and told by a witness that his backpack had just been stolen by the suspect. The victim attempted to chase after the suspect but the suspect brandished a knife and threatened the victim with it. Responding officers located and detained the suspect without incident. The witness confirmed that the officers had detained the correct person. A computer check on the suspect revealed that he had a warrant out for his arrest from San Mateo. A search of the suspect revealed that he was also carrying items that are commonly used to break into cars. The suspect was arrested.
