Assault

200 Winston Ave
Officers responded to a report of two people in a fight. Responding officers spoke to the victim who reported that he had known the suspect for about six months. The victim declined to state why he and the suspect met earlier in the day but reported that they got into an argument and that the suspect pushed the victim. The victim stated that he attempted to use a knife to protect himself against the suspect but the suspect grabbed his bicycle and swung it at him. At that point, both the suspect and the victim heard police sirens and they both left the area in separate directions. 

Battery – Cited

9th Ave & Judah St
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The witness reported that her son had been assaulted by the suspect while they were standing at a street corner. The suspect suddenly approached the victim and pushed him to the ground before immediately running away and collapsing on top of nearby bushes. The officers located the suspect and determined that the suspect was under the influence of an unknown substance. The suspect was cited.

Traffic Violation – No License Issued

Ocean Ave & Woodacre Dr
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle entering an intersection at approximately 35mph without stopping at a posted stop sign. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that she was never issued a driver’s license. The driver was cited.

Trespassing
5:45 pm
3200 20th Ave
Officers were on patrol and responded to a report of a trespasser at the Stonetown Mall. Security told the officers that the suspect, who was currently located in the women’s restroom, had been warned numerous times not to enter mall property due to a history of being belligerent on multiple visits. The suspect was located and cited.

One incident of domestic violence; the suspect was placed in custody.
