Shoplifting – False Identification – Cited

Officers responded to Macy’s regarding a loss prevention employee who was detaining a shoplifter. The employee reported that the suspect was observed walking through the store and selecting multiple items of merchandise before placing them into a bag. During an interview with the suspect, the officers asked for the suspect’s name. The suspect provided a name that did not match the name found on the suspect’s property during a search. The suspect declined to comment on why he provided a false name to the officers. The suspect was cited.
Stay Away Order – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a stay away order violation. The victim stated that her daughter, the suspect, was in violation of a stay away order. Responding officers arrived and located the suspect. The suspect was arrested.
Robbery

Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim reported that the suspect had pushed her down and pulled her purse away from her. The victim stated that she attempted to hold on to her purse and was dragged several feet before she had to let go of the purse. The suspect then snatched the victim’s purse and fled the area.
