Shoplifting – False Identification – Arrested

3200 20th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a detained shoplifter. The witness, a loss prevention agent, reported that the suspect had walked up to a cashier and attempted to make a purchase but the credit card was declined. The suspect then purchased a shopping bag before going back into the store and placing items of merchandise into the bag. The suspect then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. During an interview with the suspect, the suspect admitted to using a false name. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.  

Traffic Violation – Suspended Driver’s License – Cited

Monterey Blvd & Plymouth Ave
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle making a turn into an intersection from the wrong lane. The vehicle then  failed to make a complete stop at a posted stop sign. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had been suspended with a prior citation due to driving with a suspended license. The driver was cited and his vehicle was towed.

Vandalism to MUNI – Probation Violation – Arrested

19th Ave & Holloway Ave
Officers responded to a MUNI bus stop regarding vandalism. The witness, a MUNI bus driver, reported that he had told the suspect to exit the bus because it was at the last stop. The suspect, who was carrying a half empty bottle of alcohol, exited the bus while arguing about having to leave. The suspect then went up to the front of the bus and demanded that he be let back on to the bus. The witness refused and closed the door. While the witness was driving away, she heard the sound of glass shattering and realized that one of the bus windows had been broken by the suspect. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Attempted Robbery
5:11 am
2200 Taraval St
Officers responded to a robbery at a 7-11 store. The victim, a store clerk, reported that the suspect had walked to the back of the store and damaged a refrigerator frame before taking a twelve pack of beer out of the refrigerator. The victim confronted the suspect and the suspect attempted to punch the victim but missed. The suspect then put the beer on the ground before walking away from the store.
