Theft From a Vehicle – Possession of a Burglary Tool – Threats – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a possible car burglary. The witness reported that he was walking home when he noticed that the interior light was on inside his neighbor’s vehicle and observed the suspect inside the vehicle. The witness stated that the suspect told him to go away and that he had knife. The witness confronted the suspect and detained him. The suspect admitted to being inside the vehicle but did not take anything more than loose change and sunglasses that were in the vehicle. However, a search of the suspect revealed several tools that could be used to break into vehicles as well as multiple items of property belonging to other victims. The suspect was cited.

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving between multiple lanes in an attempt to pass slower vehicles. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had been suspended. The driver was cited.

Battery of an Officer – Resisting Arrest – Cited

Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated juvenile refusing to leave. Responding officers arrived at the location as the suspect was walking down the stairs and attempted to walk around the officers. The officers requested that the suspect stop but the suspect pushed the officer’s hands away and continued walking. The officers attempted to detain the suspect but the suspect flailed her arms and twisted her body in multiple attempts to break free from the officers. The officers requested that the suspect’s mother, who was nearby and videotaping the incident, to intercede and calm the suspect down but the mother refused to move or offer assistance. Eventually, the officers successfully detained the suspect and after further investigation, the suspect was cited.
