Robbery with Force – Carry a concealed Weapon – Arrested

700 Taraval St
Officers responded to Safeway regarding an assault. Responding officers arrived and located a subject matching the description of the suspect, who was later confirmed by the victim as being the suspect. The victim, a store employee, stated that the suspect had walked into the store and started placing multiple items of merchandise into a basket before immediately walking out of the store without paying at the registers. The victim attempted to detain the suspect by grabbing the basket but the suspect punched the victim in the face. The suspect then dropped the basket and exited the store while yelling and screaming. A search of the subject located a six inch knife in a sheath which was concealed under the suspect’s shirt along with a dagger and a replica hand gun. The suspect was arrested.

Battery

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that he was walking in the parking lot towards his vehicle when he was bumped on the back of his leg by the suspect’s vehicle, which was backing up. The victim stated that he did not believed he was injured but wanted to alert the suspect that he had been hit by the vehicle. However, the suspect was not interested in exchanging information. The victim attempted to prevent the suspect from leaving by standing in the way but suspect then got out of the vehicle, said “excuse me” and pushed the suspect aside before driving away.

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle slowing down at an intersection with a posted stop sign but not coming to a stop until the vehicle was past the limit line and inside the crosswalk. The vehicle then did not slow down while changing lanes despite a pedestrian trying to cross the street. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the vehicle revealed that the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. The driver was cited and the vehicle was towed.

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle failing to make a stop at a posted stop sign. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check revealed that the driver did not have a license. The driver was cited.

Possession of Stolen Property – Warrant Arrest – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a possible squatter. Responding officers arrived and entered through the back yard of the house. It was observed that the dead bolt had been removed from the back door. Walking through the basement, the officers observed numerous bicycles and bicycle parts scattered around. After a further search of the house, the suspect was located. The suspect stated that he was homeless and had been invited by another person to stay at the house. The suspect said that he would help repair the bicycles that the person would bring over so they could sell them at flea markets. The suspect attempted to provide a false name but gave his true name after further investigation. A computer check revealed that the suspect had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.
