Shoplifting with Force – Malicious Mischief – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a combative suspect who was being detained by a Loss Prevention employee. The victims reported that the two suspects appeared to be shopping inside a Macy’s store but had placed multiple items of merchandise into their bags before exiting the store without paying. The victims attempted to detain the suspects but the suspects swung their arms about in a violent manner. The victims were successful in placing one of the suspects in handcuffs and escorted her to the security office. During the process, the detained suspect made multiple verbal threats to kill the victims while the second suspect began to follow them and throwing merchandise at the victims. Once in the office, the detained suspect damaged furniture and property by aggressively kicking at them. Responding officers arrived and detained the second suspect. After further investigation, both suspects were arrested.
