Burglary – Embezzlement from an Employee – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of ex-employee stealing money. The witness, a manager, told the officers that she had investigated several incidents of missing money from the register and the safe. The witness determined that the cause was that a specific employee had stolen the money before quitting. The witness supplied the officers with the security footage involved in the incident, which was reviewed by the officers. The officers located the ex-employee, who was working at the same mall but at a different location, and arrested the suspect. 

Fire Report

Officers responded to the Beach Motel regarding a vehicle fire. Responding officers arrived at the location just as SFFD was successfully extinguishing the vehicle fire. A security video revealed that the victim had parked his vehicle at the motel while the hood of the vehicle was smoking. When the victim eventually exited the vehicle, fire was seen coming out of the vehicle.  

Assault – Vandalism – Trespassing

100 Monticello St
Officers responded to a report of an incident of battery between roommates. The victim reported that he had come home and closed the gate behind him. However, the suspect who was beside his vehicle, became upset because he believed that the victim had purposely closed the gate on him. The suspect followed the victim to his room and angrily yelled and punched the victim on the nose before attempting to choke him. The suspect then damaged various items that were inside the victim’s room. The victim successfully pushed the suspect out of his room and closed the door but the suspect kicked at the door and damaged it. Responding officers located the suspect and after further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

One incident of a domestic violence stay away order violation; the suspect was arrested.
