A sergeant was on patrol and observed a vehicle that failed to make a complete stop at a posted stop sign. The sergeant conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had been suspended. The driver was cited.

Broad St & Captiol Ave
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle with a suspicious looking registration sticker and conducted a computer check. The check revealed that the vehicle was last registered in 2016 despite displaying a 2018 registration sticker. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had been suspended. The driver stated that he had purchased the vehicle, which already had a 2018 sticker on it. The driver was cited.

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle being driven by a known subject, who previously did not have a driver’s license. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check confirmed that the driver still did not have a license. The diver was cited.

2500 Ocean Ave
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle that matched a description of a vehicle that had been used in numerous burglary incidents. The vehicle also did not have any license plates. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that her license had been suspended. It was also revealed that the driver had been cited numerous times for driving on a suspended license. The driver was cited.

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle with tinted front and rear windows. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that he was never issued a driver’s license. The driver was cited.

Battery – cited

1500 Noriega St
Officers responded to a report of a fight. Party 1 reported that he was leaving his business when he observed Party 2 smoking in front of his building, which was a medical facility. Party 1 asked Party 2 to move but Party 2 refused. Party 1 went to his vehicle and started to take pictures of Party 2, which angered Party 2 and he started pounding on the car’s window. Party 1 stated that he was scared and rolled down his window and used his pepper spray. At the same time, Party 2 threw his cigarette at Party 1. Officers investigated the incident and both parties were cited.

1800 34th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a person being shot. The witness reported that the suspect, who was the victim’s ex-husband, had fired three shots at the victim before fleeing the area. The witness, a family member, stated that the victim and the suspect did not live there and that the victim was only in the area to attend a funeral. Responding officers later located the suspect, who was deceased from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
