Battery
3:30 pm
1200 Taraval St
Officers responded to a report of a battery with pepper spray. The victim, the manager of the store, reported that he was by the front of the store, near the register, when a juvenile suspect walked into the store with two friends. The suspect asked the victim where the snacks were and the victim directed them to the area before walking around the store. The suspect suddenly approached the victim and claimed that he was following her and that he was a racist. The victim attempted to call the police but the suspect grabbed the victim’s wrist in an attempt to grab his phone and stop him. A second victim, another employee, told the suspect to leave. The suspect left the store but immediately walked back in and sprayed the victim before leaving again and fleeing the area.

Officers responded to a report of a purse snatch. The victim reported that she was putting her groceries into her vehicle with her purse still on the shopping cart when the suspect approached her and took the purse. Responding officers successfully tracked the phone to the suspect’s location, in the area of 6th and Harrison, and conducted a traffic stop. Once the suspect was detained, the officers called the victim’s cell phone and located the phone inside the suspect’s vehicle. A computer check on the suspect revealed that his driver’s license was suspended. The suspect was cited for driving on a suspended driver’s license and for being in possession of stolen property. The officers were unsuccessful in determining if the suspect had actually stolen the purse.

Officers responded to a report of a person pointing a black revolver. The victim reported that the suspect had his TV on very loud and she was unable to concentrate and study. The victim yelled at the suspect to lower the volume but was ignored. Later, the victim and the suspect engaged in an argument outside the victim’s bedroom. During the argument, the victim stated that the suspect pointed a gun at her. Responding officers located the suspect and after further investigation, it was determined that the gun used was a toy gun. The suspect was cited.

Assault

23rd Ave & Vicente St
Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim reported that he had just dropped off his father and brother at the school and had parked his car when the suspect suddenly pulled up next to him and yelled at him for running a stop sign and taking his parking spot. The suspect then left. Shortly afterwards, the victim’s father returned and the victim started to drive away when the suspect returned and drove directly towards the victim’s car. The victim stated that he had to drive on to the sidewalk to avoid being struck by the suspect. The suspect then pulled up next to the victim’s car, yelled and cursed at him again before driving away.

Domestic Violence
One incident of a domestic violence stay away order violation; the suspect was arrested.
