Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that he was walking behind the suspect when the suspect suddenly turned around and slapped the victim without saying a word. A witness to the incident confirmed the victim’s statement. The suspect was cited.
Attempted Shoplifting – Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia – Cited

2000 Irving St
Officers were flagged down regarding a possible shoplifter in Walgreens. The witness, a manager, reported that the suspect was observed stealing a bottle of shampoo and placing it into his bag. The witness stated that he yelled at the suspect and the suspect put the item back. Responding officers detained the suspect and a searched revealed a glass pipe, commonly used to smoke cocaine, in his backpack. The officers cited the suspect and advised him not to come back to the store.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – No Driver’s License – Possession of Stolen Property – Arrested

400 Holloway Ave
Officers responded to the area regarding the victim who had received a text message concerning the location of his vehicle, which had been stolen. Responding officers located and observed the victim’s vehicle being driven by the suspect and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect delayed exiting the vehicle but was eventually taken into custody without incident. A search located marijuana, methamphetamine and multiple credit cards and identification cards belonging to different people in the suspect’s possession. The suspect was arrested.
