Officers responded to a report of a detained shoplifter. Loss prevention officers declined to press charges but a computer on the suspect revealed a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.
Battery on a Police Officer – resisting Arrest – Cited

Lake Merced & Berkshire Way
Officers responded to a report of a person acting strangely. Responding officers located the suspect, who was holding on to a baseball bat. The officers ordered the suspect to drop the bat but the suspect refused and replied with a string of nonsensical words at the officers. The officers were successful in removing the bat away from the suspect, despite the suspect’s continued resistance. The suspect was cited and taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
