Battery

19th Ave & Holloway Ave
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim, a MUNI driver, stated that he had permitted the suspect, a transient that the victim was familiar with, and an unknown friend of the suspect to stay on the bus during the victim’s break. Shortly after, the suspect’s friend, needed to get off the bus which caused both the suspect and his friend to exit the bus. However, the suspect became angry and start hitting the bus. The victim confronted the suspect and the suspect head butted him before leaving the scene. 

Burglary – Warrant Arrest – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a hot prowl burglary. The victim reported that she had arrived back home and discovered that the suspect was in her house and wearing her clothing. The suspect then left the house and walked towards Rivera Street before being detained by the responding officers. A search of the suspect located a purse and items belonging to the victim. The suspect stated that she was homeless and after discovering the gate and front door open at the house, she decided to stay inside the house. The suspect also admitted to searching the place while looking for items of value. A computer check on the suspect revealed a warrant for her arrest. The suspect was arrested.

Burglary of a Store – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at Macy’s Stonestown. The witness reported that, via security cameras, a suspect from a previous burglary had returned to the store and was currently attempting to break into the jewelry display case with a crowbar. Responding officers located and detained the suspect, despite the suspect’s attempt to immediately flee the area. A search located a backpack in the suspect’s possession which contained numerous items of jewelry and cash along with multiple tools with the ability to break into stores and display cases. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
