Arson – Possession of Open Containers of Alcohol – Cited

3900 Taraval St
Officers responded to a report of a fire and observed that a pile of books had been ignited next to a city garbage can. SFFD successfully extinguished the fire and advised that a group of people had immediately walked away from the fire at their arrival. The officers searched and located the subjects described by SFFD and a search revealed that they were in possession of open containers of alcohol but could not confirm that the subjects had actually started the fire. The subjects were cited for the open containers of alcohol.

Battery

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that he was on his way to Lowell High School for a basketball game when he decided to meet with an acquaintance at the Stonestown Mall. The victim arrived just as his acquaintance was walking away. However, at that moment, five suspects approached him and hit the victim. The victim stated that the suspects also attended the same school as the acquaintance.
