Shoplifting with Force – Use of Pepper Spray

700 Taraval St
Officers responded to a report of a victim, a security officer, who was sprayed with pepper spray. The victim reported that two suspects were observed talking in the checkout line. After the first suspect paid for her merchandise and headed towards the elevator with the second suspect, who was pushing a cart filled with merchandise that had not been paid for. Both suspects entered the elevator and the victim attempted to stop the elevator door from closing. However, the suspects sprayed the victim with pepper spray before exiting to the parking area. The suspects entered a vehicle but it failed to start and the suspect moved away from the store on foot. The vehicle was towed.

Battery

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim, who was observed to be intoxicated, reported that he had made a comment to the suspect and asked if she was a porn star or a prostitute. The victim stated that the suspect had looked scared before kicking him the groin. The suspect then left the area.  

Traffic Violation – Suspended Driver’s License – Cited

Officers were conducting speed enforcement when they observed a vehicle speeding at 55 mph in a 35 mph zone. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had been suspended. The driver had also been cited previously for driving on a suspended license. The driver was cited and his vehicle was towed.

Warrant Arrest – Arrested

1800 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to the parking lot near Target because the witness, a manager, had observed suspicious activity in the parking lot. Prior to their arrival, two of the three subjects had already left the area. Officers made contact with the third subject, who was in a non-public area. The subject stated that he had permission from the manager, which was immediately denied by the manager who was with the officers. A computer check on the subject revealed a warrant. The subject was arrested on his warrant and advised on trespassing.

Warrant Arrest- Methamphetamine Offense – Arrested

400 Capitol Ave
Officers responded to Sheridan Elementary School regarding a male standing by the front of the school. The officers arrived on scene and located the subject. A computer check on the suspect revealed two warrants out of San Mateo County. A search of the suspect revealed a small baggie of methamphetamine, which was inside the subject’s pocket. The suspect was arrested.

One incident of domestic violence; the suspect was arrested.
