Unlicensed Driver – Non-Functioning Brake Lights

Officers in full uniform and driving a marked patrol vehicle observed a vehicle with brake lights not working. The officers effected a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver. The driver stated that he did not have a driver’s license. A computer check revealed that the driver was never issued a driver’s license. The driver was cited for driving without a license and driving with non-functioning brakelights.

Theft From a Store

Officers in full uniform and driving a marked patrol vehicle responded to a theft that occurred. Upon arriving at the scene the officers were met by an employee who stated that she observed two unknown females enter the store. The unknown females walked up to a display and grabbed some items off the shelf and run out of the store.
Suspect 1:Black Female, 5’10”, 150 lbs, black hair, between the ages of 20 – 25 years old, LSW: straight shoulder length brown hair with blonde streaks, brown metallic jacket, white tank top, blue jeans, and brown shoes.
Suspect 2: Black Female, 5’3”, 150 lbs, black hair, between the ages of 20 – 25 years old, LSW: long black hair, piercing above right lip, purple jacket, dark pants, and black shoes.

Theft – Shoplifting – Battery

Officers responded to the scene regarding a shoplifter. Upon their arrival the officers were met by loss prevention agents who stated that they observed a man enter the store acting suspicious. The loss prevention agents went out onto the sales floor and watched the man as he was in the store. The man grabbed several items off the shelf and walked past open cash registers without making an attempt to pay for the items. The loss prevention agents approached the man outside in the parking lot and the man dropped the items and attempted to run away. The loss prevention officers gave chase and the man took a swing at one of the agents. The loss prevention agents stopped the man and escorted him to the loss prevention office. The loss prevention agents notified the police and signed a citizen’s arrest form . The man was cited for shoplifting and battery.

Malicious Mischief – Vandalism to Vehicle

An officer responded to the scene regarding a report of vandalism to a vehicle. Upon arriving to the scene the officer was met by the owner of the vehicle who stated that he parked his vehicle in good condition. Upon returning to the vehicle later in the evening he discovered that his tires were slashed.

Driving With A Suspended License – Expired Registration

Officers in full uniform and driving a marked patrol vehicle were driving eastbound when they observed a vehicle with expired registration. A computer query confirmed that the vehicles registration was expired. The officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and one of the officers advised the driver that his registration was expired. A computer query revealed that the drivers license was suspended. The driver was cited for driving with a suspended license and for driving with expired registration on the vehicle.

FRIDAY JANUARY 10th, 2014

Burglary – Forcible Entry

Two officers responded to the scene regarding a bicycle theft. Upon arriving to the scene, the officers met with a man who stated that he woke up and heard someone “messing” with his front gate. When the man looked outside his window, he saw an unknown male walking on the sidewalk away from his house carrying his bicycle and bicycle wheel. The man shouted at the suspect who dropped the bicycle and bicycle wheel and started running. The man recovered both his bicycle and bicycle wheel.

Two officers responded to the scene regarding an unknown subject knocking on a woman’s door. Upon arriving to the scene, the officers were met by a woman who stated that when she heard a loud knocking on her front door, she looked out her front window and observed an unknown suspect. She said that the suspect attempted to enter her house, but could not gain entry due to the fact that the door was locked. The suspect also tried entering through the downstairs garage door, but again failed to gain entry. The suspect became angry and threw an object at her front window, causing it to break. She stated that she did not know the suspect.

SATURDAY JANUARY 11th, 2014

Robbery With Gun

Officers responded to the scene regarding a robbery with a gun call. Upon arrival to the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that the unknown suspect surprised her and attempted to grab her purse. They struggled for awhile and the unknown suspect pull out a gun and pointed at her. Fearing for her own life, she stopped resisting. Officers were then approached by a witness and the man had witnessed the incident. Officers then searched for surveillance cameras around the scene. Suspect: Black Male, 5’9”, 160 lbs, between the ages of 25-30 years-old, LSW: Dark hooded sweater, brandishing a black revolver with long barrel

Residential Burglary – Unlawful Entry

An officer in full police uniform was dispatched on a report of a residential burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a man who stated that his bicycle along with his neighbor’s bicycle was missing from the shared garage. The Man did not give anyone permission to take the bicycle. The man suspected that the unknown suspect possibly entered through the locked security gate.

An officer responded to a call of vandalism involving broken windows. Upon the officer’s arrival at the scene, the officer met a woman who stated that an unknown suspect broke two of her windows in her room sometimes during the night while she slept. There were broken glass on the floor and no projectiles were found at the scene.

Officers responded to a call of vandalism involving broken windows. Due to the crime’s similar nature, another officer explained to the reporting officer that a man stated that an unknown subject broke his bedroom window sometimes during the night while he slept. Certain items were broken as well at the scene. No projectiles were found in the investigation.

Officers in full uniform responded to a dispatch call on regarding an arson report. Upon their arrival, the officers met a man stated that he saw a fire on the stair case which led to his house’s back door. The man put out the fire and stated that he believe a suspect had started a fire because the suspect was upset at him and thought that the man would call the police on him.

Officer was in full uniform driving a marked police vehicle stopped a motorcycle that was driving with a loud exhaust. The officer identified the driver of the motorcycle with a driver’s license. The driver stated that he didn’t think he would need a motorcycle endorsement to drive a motorcycle. The driver was cited for driving with a loud exhaust, expired tabs and having no motorcycle endorsement.

Burglary – Unlawful Entry

Officers in full uniform and in a marked police vehicle responded to a dispatch call regarding a burglary. Upon their arrival, the officers met a man stated that he may have forgotten to lock his door during the night and items were stolen from his room by an unknown suspect. The point of entry and exit was the front door.

Officers in full uniform responded to a call in regards of a burglary. Upon their arrival, the officers met a family and were told that their house had been burglarized. The family stated that they left their home with their front door locked and secured. Upon their return, the front door had been forced open and the entire house to be ransacked by an unknown suspect(s). Certain items were stolen and the point of entry and exit was through the front door.

Officers in full uniform responded to a dispatch call regarding a burglary report. Upon their arrival, the officers met a woman who stated that she forgot to close her garage door when she got home and items were stolen from her garage by an unknown suspect. The point of entry and exit was through the garage door.

Officers in full police uniform responded to a theft call. Upon their arrival, the officers met a man who stated that a theft had stolen certain items from his home. The man gave no permission for anyone to remove his items.

Officers in full uniform responded to a call on a graffiti report. Upon their arrival, officers met a woman and she stated that the graffiti occurred around a specific time. Officers took images of the graffiti and booked the evidence at Taraval station.

An officer in full police uniform and in a marked patrol vehicle stopped a vehicle with an expired registration. The officers identified the driver and checked that her license was expired. The driver was cited for driving with an expired driver’s license and expired registration.

Westbound on Taraval Street between 24th Ave

Officers in full police uniform and in a marked police vehicle stopped a vehicle that did not have a front license plate. The officers stopped the vehicle and identified the driver and checked that his driver’s license was suspended. The driver was cited for driving with a suspended driver’s license and no front license plate.
