Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim reported that he had been walking in the area, inside Golden Gate Park, with the suspect when he was suddenly hit from behind by the suspect. The victim did not know what was used to hit him but felt his head and found that it was bleeding. The victim then walked to La Playa and knocked on the door of a nearby camper and stated that he had been stabbed. The victim was taken to the hospital for his injuries. Responding officers were unsuccessful in their search for the suspect.
