Robbery

3200 19th Ave
Officers responded to a bus stop near the Stonestown Shopping Mall regarding a robbery. The victim reported that he had been waiting for a bus when one suspect suddenly approached him from behind and attempted to pull his cellphone away from him. A second suspect also approached the victim. The victim was fearful that the suspects would hurt him and released the grip on his phone. The suspects both fled the area with the victim’s property. 

Assault

Officers responded to a report of an assault at a gas station. The victim reported that he had started pumping gas into his vehicle when a SUV pulled in behind him. The suspect exited the vehicle and introduced himself as an associate of the victim’s wife. The suspect then left the area but returned shortly and hit the victim’s head with something metallic before immediately fleeing the area. The victim believes that the suspect was possibly under the influence of narcotics.  

Warrant Arrest – Arson – Arrested

Bright St & Shields St
Officers responded to the scene regarding an arson incident and a grass fire. The officers searched the area and located the suspect, who had a lighter and an air freshener spray can next to him. The officers also observed that the suspect’s pants had burn marks on them. The suspect was Mirandized 

The officers searched the area for the suspect who had started a grass fire. Officers located the suspect with a lighter and an air fresher spray can next to him. The suspect’s pants also had burn marks on it. The suspect was Mirandized but stated that he had been smoking meth. The suspect admitted to pouring gasoline onto the grass and attempting to set it on fire but was unsuccessful.  The suspect said he then fell asleep did not know how the fire got started. The suspect was arrested.
