Officers were conducting surveillance regarding vehicular break ins and observed the suspect, a passenger, exiting a vehicle to look repeatedly into nearby parked vehicles before getting back into his vehicle. The officers followed the vehicle and broadcasted their location to dispatch when the suspect’s vehicle suddenly drove off in a erratic and reckless manner.

While the officers were investigating the vehicle, the owner made contact with the officers. The officers identified the owner of the vehicle and towed the vehicle for further investigation.
