Battery
4:36 pm
1900 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that the suspect had requested a printed price quote on an item of merchandise. The victim replied that he did not have the capabilities to print the quote. The suspect responded angrily and called the victim insulting names. The victim responded in kind and the suspect pushed the victim before exiting the store.  

Brandishing a Weapon

Vicente St & Sunset Blvd
Officers responded to a report of a possible incident involving a firearm. The witness, a security employee for a school, stated that the victim had approached him and requested to be let inside the school because someone was following him. The witness investigated but did not locate anybody else in the area besides the victim and himself. Responding officers made contact with the victim and were told that the suspect had been in a vehicle and had started following the victim while he was on the beach. The victim reported that the suspect also pointed a gun at him. However, after further investigation, the victim appeared to be confused and was inconsistent with his recollections of the incident.  

Vandalism – Carrying a Deadly Weapon – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a suspect holding onto an axe. Responding officers located the suspect and ordered him to drop the axe. The suspect complied and was placed in handcuffs without incident. The suspect, who appeared intoxicated, stated that somebody had tried to choke him when he entered a bar. The suspect returned home, retrieved the axe and waited outside the bar for the person to come out. A victim reported that he had observed the suspect outside waving an axe and when he went to his vehicle, he found that it had been vandalized by the suspect. A second victim also came forward and reported that their vehicle had also been vandalized by the suspect. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Recovery of a Stolen Vehicle – Arrested

14th Ave & Rivera St
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle with a loose rear license plate which was held on by a single screw. The officers conducted a computer check which revealed that the plate belonged to a Honda, which was a newer model than the vehicle which it was attached to. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a search revealed numerous stolen items and a lock pick.  After further investigation, the driver and passenger were arrested. It was also later determined that the vehicle had been stolen.  

Robbery
9:09 pm and 9:28 pm
41st Ave & Irving St and 200 Granada Ave
Officers responded to two separate incidents, in the Taraval District, regarding robberies committed by the same suspects. The victims both reported that the suspects had pointed a gun at them and robbed them of their property before fleeing. Shortly after, officers in the Southern District located a vehicle matching the suspects’ description and detained the suspects. After further investigation, the officers located stolen property inside the vehicle. Both suspects were arrested.
