An officer was on patrol in an area which had a history of frequent shoplifting incidents and was flagged down with a shoplifting report. The officer and several other units responded to the shoplifting report and located the suspect. The suspect was detained and a computer check on the suspect revealed a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle with an expired registration sticker. The officers conducted a traffic stop but the driver, the suspect, refused to stop his vehicle. Suddenly, the suspect exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. The suspect was successfully detained without incident but the suspect refused to provide his name to the officers. A search located an ID card belonging to the suspect and a computer check revealed that the suspect had an arrest warrant. After further investigation, it was also determined that the suspect’s vehicle had been stolen without the owner’s knowledge. The suspect was arrested.
