Battery of a Police Officer – Assault – Obstructing Police Officers Duties – Cited

Officers responded to a report from MUNI that a suspect was lying in a doorway and also refusing to move. At the location, officers and an off duty medic, determined that the suspect was possibly suffering from adnominal pain. The officers attempted to make contact with the suspect and approached him. The suspect suddenly grabbed an officer’s legs while yelling and attempting to bite the officers. The suspect was detained and placed into handcuffs. The suspect was then inspected by medics who arrived shortly afterwards.  The suspected was then cited and release to the hospital.
