Battery

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victims, security employees for the Stonestown Shopping Mall, reported that they had responded to a report of unruly suspects inside a mall store. The suspects were escorted out of the mall and one of the suspects punched the victims before fleeing the area.
Stolen Vehicle – Arrested

2000 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim reported that he had stopped to buy a cup of coffee but left his vehicle running before exiting it and going into the store. When the victim returned, the vehicle was missing. About an hour after taking the report, the officers responded back to the store because the suspect who had stolen the vehicle had returned to the area. The officers questioned the suspect, who denied knowledge of the vehicle. A search of the suspect’s backpack located items belonging to the victim. Afterwards, the suspect stated that if the vehicle had been stolen, then it still located nearby in the area. A search of the area located the vehicle. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
