Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity around parked vehicles. Responding officers searched and located a subject who matched the description given by the witness. The subject was attempting to walk away from two purses and a backpack that were placed on the front steps of a nearby house. An investigation of the items revealed that the purses and wallets were empty. A computer check on the subject revealed a warrant for his arrest. The subject was arrested for his warrant.
