Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity regarding a parked vehicle. Responding officers arrived at the location and observed the suspect sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle, which was reported by the witness as belonging to his brother. However, the suspect stated that the vehicle was his and that he had the key as proof. An inspection of the key, however, revealed that it was a shaven key that is commonly used to steal vehicles. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
