Officers responded to a report of a battery incident. The victim reported that the suspect, who had a frequent history of entering the shop with her own coffee cup to fill with the store’s coffee without making a purchase, was confronted about stealing coffee. The suspect responded by flinging hot coffee on to the victim’s face before exiting the store and fleeing the area.
