Robbery – Vandalism – Arrested

2000 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of a fight. The victim reported that the suspect was observed selecting cookies and eating some before putting several more into his pocket. The victim confronted the suspect and the suspect responded angrily by yelling and punching the victim before throwing store merchandise around and causing damage to the store. Responding officers located and detained the suspect. A search of the suspect located multiple items of stolen property inside his pockets. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Battery – Cited

40th Ave & Taraval St
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that the suspect was observed stopping and yelling at a skateboarder who had been alternately riding between the sidewalk and street. The victim attempted to de-escalate the situation but the suspect punched the victim before driving away. Responding officers located the suspect and after further investigation, the suspect was cited.  

Methamphetamine Offense – Trespassing – Cited

100 Font Blvd
Officers responded to a report of a possible incident of burglary. Responding officers made contact with the witness, a security employee, who reported that the suspect had been trespassing. The officers located the suspect and approached him. Before the officers reached the suspect, the suspect reached into his pocket and threw something on to the floor. The suspect was detained and the item that was thrown on the floor was determined to be methamphetamine hidden inside a candy wrapper. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Stolen Vehicle – Arrested

14th Ave & Rivera St
Officers were on patrol in the area. A computer check on one vehicle revealed that it had been reported stolen. The officers made contact with the suspect, who was inside the vehicle and detained him. The suspect stated that his friend had asked him to move the vehicle and that he had been sleeping in the vehicle. Further investigation determined that the key cylinder had been tampered with.The suspect was arrested.
