Officers were on patrol in the area when they were alerted of a shoplifting in progress. Responding officers arrived at the location and detained the three suspects, despite one suspect initially attempting to flee from the officers. After further investigation, it was determined that the suspects had attempted to steal over $2000 worth of merchandise. The suspects were identified, advised and released.
