Battery

1400 19th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that he had been waiting for a bus when the suspect approached him and asked if the victim had a lighter. The vicim replied that he did not have a lighter and the suspect responded by hitting the victim’s arm multiple times with a thick rope. The suspect then walked away from the victim. 

Assault

Lincoln Way & 43rd Ave
Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victims reported that the suspect, a homeless person, had been sleeping next to their house. When the victim exited the house to greet a friend that had just arrived, the suspect began throwing items at the victims. The suspect then fled the area when the victims responded angrily and chased the suspect. 

Trespassing
9:40 pm
00 San Jacinto Way
Officers responded to a report of a trespasser. The victim reported that he had heard some noise in the backyard and believed that it was a raccoon. The victim investigated and discovered the suspect was in the backyard. The victim yelled at the suspect who responded that he was lost and immediately fled the area.
